Nathan A. Manuel

Raised in Texas, artist Nathan Manuel has made his home in Washington, DC since 2001. His conceptual photography explores themes of formal theory, appropriation, and the history and culture of the fine art industry. Nathan holds a Master of Art in Arts Education degree from the Corcoran College of Art + Design where he wrote his thesis on artist Josef Albers's career as an educator. Nathan is the recent recipient of the Cosmos Club Young Scholar Grant and was a semi-finalist for the Trawick Prize in Contemporary Art in 2007 and 2008.
